The Tale of Aje

In our rebellion we called ourselves “aje” - in English a witch. Am a witch! We are witches! It is what they labeled us. So to prove to them that name WITCH doesn’t affect us, we take on the name. We rebelliously take in on, but what we take on is almost a curse, a strong negative energy created by the ones that couldn’t stand us, and feared the power of the sacred mystical mysterious women

You couldn’t bullshit us, we could smell it, we can tell it, something is off, something is out of place.

We take on the name or not, once labeled “a witch” they can target one with it for ever. So why not just take it on, and stick 2 fingers to them all. Yeah, am a witch! Oh yes am a witch. Are you satisfied! Come close and I will use the so called Witchery on you, I no longer have a need to hide, to fear, to live a life that is not mine, so if I have to take your coat of Witchery and put it on, so I can walk with my head held high amongst all those that throw painful pitiful words and stares of abuse at me, then I shall

I no longer choose to hide, I no longer choose to suffocate myself. Have you seen a peacock trying to hide it colours? Or a bat wanting to be a cat. How would that be if the bat tried to be a cat? Can you picture that? A bat is a bat. Or what we call a bat, to itself is probably just what it is. It doesn’t need a mirror to know its essence, it lives as it is, appears as it is.

Watch out for the continuation of the Tale of Aje in Tale 2, 3 and maybe 4 in the next coming posts. The climax is a beautiful story of how Iyaami Aje came to be.
